My Evening

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 9, 2026

1. Our Commitment

My Evening is designed to be calm, low-stimulation, and usable by people with a wide range of abilities. We aim to meet or exceed:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for this website (myevening.app).
  • EN 301 549 V3.2.1 for compliance with the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882, effective 28 June 2025).
  • Apple's iOS accessibility APIs for the iOS app — VoiceOver labels, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Smart Invert, system contrast settings.

2. Conformance Status

Website: we self-assess as partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The website is a static, text-heavy marketing site with no forms, video, or audio content. Known design choices that interact with accessibility:

  • Dark theme by default (the site does not offer a light-theme toggle). Color contrast is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA targets.
  • Scroll-based fade-in animations are used. They are automatically disabled when the operating system setting prefers-reduced-motion: reduce is on.
  • Skip-to-content link is provided as the first focusable element.
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-reachable.
  • Iconography is decorative; no information is conveyed by color alone.

iOS app: we self-assess as partially conformant with EN 301 549. The app uses native SwiftUI, supports Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion, has an accessibility-friendly dark palette, and provides VoiceOver labels for every interactive element. Voice input is the encouraged default; text input is always available as a fallback.

3. Known Limitations

  • The website is currently English-only. We are evaluating French and Polish translations for legal pages — see our Regulamin notice.
  • The breathing-exercise visual is decorative animation only; no information is encoded in the animation itself, and the inhale/hold/exhale timing is also conveyed by labels and haptic feedback.
  • Voice input requires microphone access; text input is always available as a fully equivalent alternative.

4. Feedback and Alternative Access

If you encounter any accessibility barrier on the website or in the iOS app, or if you need an accessible alternative for any content (for example, a printed copy of the Privacy Policy or Terms), let us know:

We aim to respond within 14 days, and to fix concrete issues within 30 days where reasonable.

5. Enforcement Procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, EU/EEA residents may submit a complaint to the relevant national accessibility-enforcement body. In Poland, that is the Ministerstwo Cyfryzacji. UK residents may complain to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

6. How We Assess

This statement is based on internal review using axe DevTools and Lighthouse for the website, and the iOS Accessibility Inspector for the app. The next scheduled re-review is in 12 months from the "Last updated" date above, or sooner if material changes are made to the website or app.
